Cyrtosperma hayii (Araceae, Lasioideae), a unique new species with downward-pointing spines from Southwest Papua Province, Indonesia

Cyrtosperma hayii, a new species of Lasioid from Maybrat in Southwest Papua Province, is described here. The new species is morphologically similar to Cyrtosperma beccarianum. However, it can be recognized by the various spine types (straight, upward, and downward), flat to upward front lobe, upward to downward posterior lobes, narrowly opening spathe, stipitate spadix, and white-colored spadix.
